don't string someone along
why? if someone is honest with you and knows that they aren't in the ideal situation, don't tell them one day that you definitely would have left the bar if they had told you they were coming to town and then a week later tell them (after blatantly ignoring them) that they are acting like the girlfriend you don't want. its confusing. then after giving them this news as a text, don't text the next day and ask if they're mad. yes - they're mad! they don't want to be jerked around.

well for what it's worth, i always try to be as honest as possible, sometimes to a fault. anyway, you're still one of the coolest people i've ever known!
